A day spent boating out on the ocean and on the Intracoastal Waterway represents the best living anyone could imagine, and represents ďthe good life,Ē possibly like nothing else ever could.
Discovering Whatís Really Important
With a deep blue sky serving as a splendid backdrop for an occasional white wisp of a few bright clouds overhead, and below nothing but magnificent ocean water extending out as far as the eye can see, itís difficult to concentrate on little details of life that bog you down. With the occasional seagulls and pelicans to serve as brief overhead companions, you bask in the ambiance of the oceanic life, moving across the waves with a force that is almost incomprehensible to the mind.
A Different World
You are being privileged to enter into the world of the sea, brimming with all sorts of living creatures that can suddenly emerge just close enough to the surface for you to see them, while others seem to dance above the waves, in proud display of carefully choreographed moves that are both delightful and awe-inspiring. This is grand...this is real living with a sense of whatís truly important, regardless of whether you are fishing, travelling or simply anchored out in the midst of it all, to rest, to nap, to just absorb all of it and become inspired and restored.
The Best Way to Finish the Day
The perfect cap to such a perfect day would surely produce the enjoyment of an expertly-prepared meal with your sea mates. Boaters in the Chesapeake City of Maryland are fortunate to have Schaeferís Canal House, where they can finish a glorious day of adventure by dining at a table offering the oceanís most scrumptiously prepared feasts. They can feast to their heartís delight on the patio, where theyíll be entertained by tropical tunes of Island Vibe or possibly the reggae and rock fusion sounds of The Chorduroy Band.
There is nothing that can compare to a day of sun and fun, courtesy of the sea, and itís great to wrap up such a day with an intimate seafood dinner inside, or a lively evening of more fun and adventure on the patio. Either way, what remains is a memorable time spent doing what you love.
